In June, the U.S. State Department released its 2018 Trafficking in Persons Report, an annual ranking of countries globally on their efforts to acknowledge and address human trafficking. The focus of this year’s report is “on effective ways local communities can address human trafficking proactively and on how national governments can support and empower them.”

Hong Kong remains ranked as Tier 2 Watch List, which is the second from the bottom ranking of Tier 3, since 2016. Read the full report here.
